Alice Louise Walters

Alice L Walters, 93, of Climax Springs, MO, passed away on September 04, 2021, at her home in Climax Springs, Missouri.

Alice was born on March 31, 1928 to Cody and Josephine (Hummell) Gaines in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

She married John W. Walters on October 16, 1946. He preceded her in death on December 15th, 2004.

Alice was a homemaker and adored time with family. She was also an excellent cook. In her younger years she loved to roller skate and dance. As her family grew she would sew special outfits for her four daughters that they loved and appreciated. She was very active in her church and community for decades.

She is survived by four daughters, Bobbi White (Rick) of Pittsburg, KS, Regina Rider (Terry) of Climax Springs, MO, Rebecca Phillips (John) of Overland Park, KS, and Renee Walters of Owasso, OK; seven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a son, John A. Walters, and a sister, Betty Laird.

Funeral services will be on Friday, September 10th, 2021, at 11:00 AM in the Brenner Mortuary with Chaplain Pete Mayo officiating. Burial will take place at Garden of Memories. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 9th, 2021 from 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm at Brenner Mortuary in Pittsburg, KS. Memorial donations can be made to any animal shelter. Arrangements are under the direction of the Brenner Mortuary, 114 E. 4th St., Pittsburg, KS.
