July 5, 1934 ~ October 28, 2023 (age 89) 89 Years Old
Ann Gertrude Everett, 89, of Scammon, KS, passed away on October 28, 2023, at her home. Ann was born on July 5, 1934, to Joe and Gertrude (Pargen) Grant in Scammon, KS. She attended grade school in Scammon. She graduated from Columbus High School in Columbus. She married William Warren Everett on December 3, 1985, in Omaha, NE. Ann Worked at Columbus State Bank for 25 years. Membership was held in the St. Bridget's Catholic Church in Scammon where she was an organist for many years.
She is survived by two sisters, Betty Jansen of Scammon, KS, and Sr. Mary Josetta Grant of Clyde, MO; and several cousins, Julie Brixey and her husband, Jack of El Paso, TX, Mary Guinn and her husband, Terry of Joplin, Mo, Josetta Bayless and her husband, Bill of Carthage, MO, Melinda Dever and her husband, Dewayne of Houston, TX, Harold Willard and his wife, Roxanne of Reeds, MO, and Johna Dixon of Houston, TX.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a two brothers James Joseph Grant and Fr. Mario Gramlich.
A parish rosary will be prayed at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, (November 4) at St. Bridget's Catholic Church in Scammon, followed by a Mass of Christian burial with Fr. Jeremy Huser and Fr. Chrysostom Au Maung as concelebrants. Burial will follow in the St. Bridget's Cemetery in Scammon, Kansas. The family suggest memorials to the St. Bridget's Building fund. Arrangements are under the direction of the Brenner Mortuary.
