Betty Margaret Masterson

Betty Margaret Masterson, 89, of Pittsburg, KS, passed away on July 15, 2021, at her home in Pittsburg.
Betty was born on January 9, 1932 to Orville and Florence (Davis) Ferrell in Hiwasse, AR. She married Joseph D. Masterson on May 12, 1956. He preceded her in death on October 13, 2003.
Betty graduated from the Mt. Carmel School of Nursing in Pittsburg and was a Registered Nurse and nursing supervisor at Mt. Carmel Medical Center for many years.

She is survived by her three sons, Dennis Masterson of Pittsburg, KS, David Masterson of Frontenac, KS, and Joe Masterson of Pittsburg, KS; three grandchildren, Jeff Masterson, Crystal Walden, and Matt Dutton; great-grandchildren, Danielle Walden, Paige Moore, Mackenzie Walden, Riley Walden, Nora Masterson, Tru Masterson, Brittany Dutton, Jeremy Dutton, Jace Dutton, and Remi Dutton; and a great-great grandchild Averie on the way.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, Jim Ferrell, Dallas Ferrell, and two sisters Ruth Thomas and Helen Brady.

Funeral services will be on Tuesday, July 20th, 2021 at 2:00 PM in the Brenner Mortuary with Father Chris Rumback as Celebrant. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 20th, 2021 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Brenner Mortuary in Pittsburg, KS. Memorial donations can be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Arrangements are under the direction of the Brenner Mortuary, 114 E. 4th St., Pittsburg, KS.
