Beverly Holman Obituary
Beverly “Bev” Holman, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at the age of 87.
Bev was born on March 15, 1934 to Gus and Gladys Froseth in Garretson, South Dakota. She was the third of six children.
In 1953, she married Willard Gath in Garretson, South Dakota. They had six children, Daniel, Cindy, Terry, Dwight, Lee and Erik. They later divorced.
In the early eighties, Bev moved to Pittsburg, KS to be near her family who had relocated to the area previously.
On February 14, 1985, Bev married Jack Holman. Jack preceded her in death in 2014.
Bev was a homemaker and adored her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She treasured time spent with her family. For many years, Bev enjoyed swimming at the YMCA on a regular basis and enjoyed a wonderful group of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Ruth and Janice, two brothers, Donnie and Roger, two sons, Lee and Daniel, and a dear friend, Beverly Soma.
Bev is survived by her daughter, Cindy Gath Swanson, of Wichita, and sons Terry Gath and his wife Chris, of Neck City, MO, Dwight Gath of rural McCune and Erik Gath and his wife, Tanya of Weir. Grandchildren, Kim, Matt, Steve, Mendi, Ruth, Jesse, Jodi, Zack, Joely and Danaya, and their spouses, several great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Bev is also survived by sisters Diane Winshel and Shirley Thoreson.
At her request, Bev has been cremated. A private family burial will be at a later date in the Crocker Cemetery. Friends may leave online condolences at www.brennermortuary.com. Arrangements are under the direction of the Brenner Mortuary, Pittsburg, KS.
