Beverly D. (Mattivi) Tustin

Beverly D. Tustin, 91, of Pittsburg, passed away at 8:59 a.m., Friday, June 25, 2021.

            She was born January 3, 1930, at Pittsburg, KS, the daughter of John and Mary (Hofer) Mattivi.

            On October 17, 1948, she was united in marriage to Charles E. Tustin at the First Baptist Church, Pittsburg.  He preceded her in death on November 26, 2008.

            Mrs. Tustin was the owner and bookkeeper for Pittsburg Ice Cream Company (PICCO) until it's closing in 1989.

            Membership was held in the First Christian Church, Pittsburg, where she was a Sunday School Teacher and held other offices in the church.  She also was a member of Red Hats, Alpha Sigma Alpha Alumni and she held office in several organizations including; Order of the Eastern Star, Amaranth, Daughters of the Nile, bridge club and PEO.

            Mrs. Tustin is survived by one daughter, Penny Vogts (Randy) of Girard, KS, two grandchildren, Abbey Jones (Matt) of Spring Hill, KS and Ryan Vogts (Lacey) of Tulsa, OK, five great grandchildren, Rylee Jones, Reed Vogts, Ashton Vogts, Georgia Vogts and Davis Vogts, one sister-in-law, Dorothy Williams (Wes) of Lawrence, KS, and several nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews that she was very close to.

            In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Clifford Mattivi.

            A service for Mrs. Tustin is set for 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, June 30, 2021, at the First Christian Church, Pittsburg, with Reverend Pat Nixon officiating.  Burial will follow in the Highland Park Cemetery.  The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at the church.  The family suggests memorials to the First Christian Church and/or Mirza Hospital Dads.  Memorials may be left at or mailed to the Brenner Mortuary, 114 East 4th St., Pittsburg, KS  66762.  Friends may also leave condolences online at www.brennermortuary.com.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Brenner Mortuary, Pittsburg, KS.
