Bonita Ann Falletti, 74, of Pittsburg, KS, passed away peacefully at her home with family, after a short battle with cancer.
Bonita was born December 12, 1949 to Gordon and Viva Gooch of Pittsburg, KS. She attended Pittsburg public schools. She married Terry Harper on May 25, 1968. With that marriage they welcomed two daughters; Terri Harper Hawthorne and Dana Harper Benthin. In 1982 she married Larry Falletti and added another daughter; Lauren Falletti Purvis. Bonita worked at Pitt Plastics for 40 years. She ended her career as a shipping clerk. She loved shopping, especially for her grandkids and great grandson. She would stay up late watching LMN, usually on Facebook with a Dr. Pepper in hand.
Bonita is survived by her husband, Larry Falletti of the home; daughters, Terri Harper Hawthorne of Claremore, OK, Dana Harper Benthin of Frontenac, KS, and Lauren Falletti Purvis of Jena, LA; Grandchildren, Taeler Purdon Holbrook of Oklahoma City, OK, Kelse Purdon Blackwell of Inola, OK, Brody Benthin of Pittsburg, KS, Megan Hawthorne of Chouteau, OK, Aryana Holmes of Jena, LA and Avian Holmes of Jena, LA; a great grandson, Gordyn Allman Blackwell of Inola, OK; nephews, Jamie Smilie, Melvin Smilie, Chad Falletti, and Cameron Falletti; niece, Amy Falletti; and brother-in-law's, Mike Falletti and Gary and Jayne Falletti.
She is proceeded in death by her parents, Gordon and Viva Gooch, as well as one sister, Sandra Smilie Burke.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Saturday (Oct. 12th) at the Brenner Mortuary. The family suggest memorials be given to the Wounded Warrior Project. These may be left or mailed to the Brenner Mortuary, 114 E. 4th St. Pittsburg, KS 66762. Arrangements are under the direction of Brenner Mortuary.
