Bonnie Jean Rea

Bonnie Jean Rea, 91, of Pittsburg, passed away on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at Ascension Via Christi Hospital.

            She was born February 26, 1930 in Oklahoma.

            She married William Frederick Burnham and had two children. They later divorced. She then married William Kennedy Rea. He preceded her in death in 1996.

            Bonnie spent most of her life in Southern California. In 2004, she moved to Pittsburg, Kansas, with her niece Florence Greville, where they shared a home together until Florence passed away in December 2020.

            Survivors include two daughters, Donna Mae Shipman and her husband, Larry of Pittsburg and Connie Rae Brooks of Omaha, Nebraska; four grandchildren, Paul Shipman, who passed away in 2018,  William Shipman, Nicole Brooks Rodriquez and Ryan Brooks; and six great-grandchildren, Harlan Shipman, Damon Rodriquez, Abraham and Ember Brooks, and Alek and Evelyn Damewood-Brooks.

            She was preceded in death by her mother, and seven brothers and sisters.
