Cecil Earl Wickham, 71, of Cherokee, Kansas, passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at his home.
He was born March 3, 1952 in Pittsburg, Kansas, the son of Orville Earl and Donna (Sterling) Wickham. He attended Pittsburg schools.
Mr. Wickham served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, where he received a Purple Heart for his service, before being honorably discharged.
He worked in repossession and collection while living in California. He was also a very talented auto body technician for several years until he became disabled.
In his spare time, Cecil loved to fish and garden and restore cars. He was also an avid history buff and enjoyed collecting Bald Eagles. An accomplishment he and his family were proud of was his sobriety, which he started in 1985.
No services are planned currently. Friends may leave condolences online. Arrangements are under the direction of the Brenner Mortuary.
