Charles (Bud) R. Redlon Sr., 87, of Frontenac, KS, passed away at 5:48 p.m., Friday, November 12, 2021, at the Via Christi Hospital, Pittsburg.
He was born July 24, 1934, at Frontenac, KS, the son of Donald L. and Mabel (Hecksher) Redlon.
On December 7, 1963, he was united in marriage to Joan M. Bailey at Pittsburg, KS. She survives of the home in Frontenac.
Mr. Redlon worked as a machine operator for Crawford County.
His true passion was cars and he loved to race them.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Ken Redlon (Briana) of Frontenac, KS, and one daughter, Jena Duff (Mike) of Pittsburg, KS, eleven grandchildren and twenty two great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, three sons, Chuck Redlon Jr., Rick Redlon and Jim Redlon and one brother, Donald Redlon Jr.
A graveside service for Mr. Redlon is set for 10:30 a.m., Thursday, November 18, 2021, at the Frontenac City Cemetery, with Randy Jones officiating. Family and friends are requested to meet at the cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at the Brenner Mortuary. The family suggests memorials to St. Jude Medical. Memorials may be left at or mailed to the Brenner Mortuary, 114 East 4th St., Pittsburg, KS 66762.
