Connie Sue Phillips

Connie Sue Phillips, 49, of Pittsburg, passed away at 10:03 a.m. Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Via Christi Hospital.

            She was born February 18 1971 at Emporia, Kansas to William Henry and Carroll Sue (Meek) Phillips. She moved to Parsons, Kansas and became part of the Class family on July 10, 1998.  She graduated from the Special Purpose School at the Parsons State Hospital.

            Connie worked at JTA for Class LTD.

            She attended Countryside Christian Church, participated in Special Olympics, loved Star Wars and the Kansas City Chiefs, playing video games, fishing, and making arts and crafts, which she normally gave away to friends. Connie was proud of being a Breast Cancer Survivor.

            Connie is survived by a brother, Billy Phillips of Wichita, Kansas, her guardian, Karen VanLeeuwen of Erie, Kansas and her Class family.

            She was preceded in death by her parents.

A service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday (Jan. 29) at the Brenner Mortuary with Carl Fogleman officiating.  Burial will follow in the Crocker Cemetery.
