David Blythe

Earl “David” Blythe, 65, of Pittsburg, passed away at 12:04 p.m. Sunday, April 18, 2021 at Ascension Via Christi Hospital.

David was born November 21, 1955 at Pittsburg, the son of Emmett and Ruth L. (Mullins) Blythe. He graduated from Pittsburg High School in 1973.

He served in the United States Army.

David worked for the Kansas City Southern Railroad and later for WATCO Industries before he retired.

He was married to Deanna Thomlison.

Survivors include his son, Justin D. Blythe and his wife, Kristie of Pittsburg; his wife, Deanna Blythe; a step-son, Paul Keys of Pittsburg; and a step-daughter, Jessica Keys of Pittsburg; one brother, Jack Blythe and his wife, Lisa of Girard, Kansas; one sister, Carolyn Hartman and her husband, James of Frontenac, Kansas; a daughter-in-law, Christina Blythe of Clinton, Oklahoma; 6 grandchildren and 5 step-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Emmett Neil Blythe; and a brother, Billie Blythe.
