Deloris “Lori” Mae Moriconi, 77, of Pittsburg, passed away Thursday, September 4, 2025 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.
She was born May 7, 1948 in Girard, Kansas, the daughter of Alonzo and Ida Irene (McVay) Mayberry. She attended Girard schools.
On September 8, 1967, she was united in marriage to James “Jim” J. Moriconi, Sr. To this union, three children were born, Theresa, Kayla and Jim.
Mrs. Moriconi worked for Pitt-Plastics Inc in Pittsburg. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, puzzles, cooking (especially for family), gardening, bird watching and going to the casino. But most of all she loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, James J. Moriconi, Sr of Pittsburg; three children, Theresa Moriconi, Kayla Moriconi, and Jim Moriconi, all of Pittsburg; a brother, Bud Mayberry (Martha); two sisters, Reta Woods (Butch) and Diana Meyer; two granddaughters, Chelcey Sexton (Joe) and Heather Ulery (Devin); three great-grandchildren, James Sexton, Kaylynn Ulery, and Maisyn Ulery; and a brother-in-law, Alfred “Moose” Moriconi (Marsha).
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, James Mayberry and two sisters, Barbara Geier and Ida McReynolds, and a brother-in-law, Kenneth Meyer.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Saturday, October 4, 2025 at the Homer Cole Pittsburg Community Center, 3003 N. Joplin, St., Pittsburg. A lunch will be provided – friends are encouraged to bring a side dish. Lori loved everyone and if you feel compelled to honor her memory, you can donate to your favorite charity.
