Donald Christeson Obituary

Donald Joseph Christeson, 76, of Liberty, KS, passed away on September 11, 2024, as the result of a car accident on HWY 400 near Fredonia, KS.
He was born January 23, 1948, in Topeka, Kansas, the son of George Washington and Nettie M. (Maley) Christeson.
Donald was in the United States Army serving from 1968 to 1970 and he was a very proud veteran.
Donald was a self-employed painter for D G Painting that him and his twin brother George started. He also painted for Medicalodge, INC.
He is survived by four sons, Shawn Christeson of Pittsburg, KS, Donald Joseph Christeson II of Atchison, KS, Mark Alan Christeson of Girard, KS, and Montana Christeson of Oklahoma City, OK; two daughters, Kimberly Christeson of Girard, KS, Lynda Holstein of Osawatomie, KS; and a step-daughter, Amy Marsh of Pittsburg, KS; a sister, Ester Dee Christeson of Elkins, AR; 24 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
Donald is preceded in death by his parents, his twin brother, George Allen Christeson, brother, Leonard Wayne Christeson; two sisters, Vicki Rood and Margaret Peggy Sprauge.
A visitation will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Thursday September 19, 2024 at Brenner Mortuary. Following the visitation a graveside service will be held 1:30 P.M. Thursday, September 19, 2024 at the Ft Scott National Cemetery with Reverend Charles Boyce officiating.
Pallbearers will be; Donald Joseph Christeson II, Montana Christeson, Shane Schacht, Darrin Holstein, and Mark Christeson. Honorary pallbearers are; Damian Christeson, Trent Christeson, Dustyn Christeson and, Hunter Christeson. Arrangements are under the direction of Brenner Mortuary 114 E 4th St. Pittsburg, KS 66762.
