Donald L. "Don" Dietz, 87, passed away at Medicalodges in Frontenac on Monday, December 26, 2022 at 7:05 am.
He was born in Pittsburg on August 20, 1935 to Fred and Mary (Young) Dietz. He was a member of St John's Lutheran Church. He graduated from Pittsburg High School in 1953. He was in business with Kirk & Sons and also in the rental business with his family.
He married Eileen Kirk in Pittsburg in 1955, They were married 67 years. He is survived by his wife Eileen, daughters Kathy Sluder (Tom), Karen Dietz, grandchildren Jason Sluder, Jill Popejoy (Curt), great grandaughter Kaity Popejoy, Lexie Popejoy and his furbabies Buffy and Abbie.
Memorials can be sent to the SEK Humane Society, P.O. Box 783, Pittsburg or left at or mailed to the Brenner Mortuary, 114 E. 4th St., Pittsburg, KS 66762. Private graveside services will be held at a later date. The family requests no visitors at their home. Arrangements are under the direction of the Brenner Mortuary, Pittsburg.
