Dorothy Lucille Griggs, 82, of Pittsburg, KS, passed away on September 01, 2025, at her home in Pittsburg, Kansas.
Dorothy was born on July 30, 1943, to Ollie and Frances (Grizzle) Brady at Pittsburg, KS. On March 4, 1963, she was united in marriage to Michael Griggs. He preceded her in death on February 1, 2022. Dorothy attended area schools and graduated from the Pittsburg High School. She attended cosmetology school and worked until she stayed home to raise her children. She loved fishing, golfing, and loved her family fiercely. Membership was held at the St John Lutheran Church.
She is survived by a son, Mike Griggs (Shawn), a daughter Milissa Folk (Eric), seven grandchildren, Amanda (Ethan) Caldwell, Emily (Shane) Bradford, Brandon (Julia) Griggs, Carley Griggs (Dylan Cosgrove), Ambrose Griggs, Rachel Folk (Brandon Baker), and Lucas Griggs, great grandchildren, Elliott Caldwell and Willow Bradford. She is also survived by her beloved nephews, nieces and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother, Kenneth Brady and a sister, Johnnie K. Oertle.
No services are planned at this time. The family suggests memorials to St. John Lutheran Church. Arrangements are under the direction of the Brenner Mortuary, 114 E. 4th St., Pittsburg, KS.
