Elaine Brinegar Obituary

Elaine Alvina Brinegar, 79, of Pittsburg, KS, passed away on October 05, 2021, at ComfortCare Homes of Pittsburg.

Elaine was born on October 27, 1941, to Clarence and Adele (Joerling) Welge in Foristell, MO. She attended Wright City High School. In 1965, she married William Brinegar. They moved to Kansas in 1975 to raise their family and farm. They later divorced. Elaine loved farm life and cherished growing up on the Welge farm. In addition to farming and taking care of her family, Elaine had several different jobs over the years, including Ozark Airlines in St. Louis in the 60’s, making magnets at Magnet LLC in Washington, MO, and finally Miller’s Professional Imaging in Pittsburg, where she retired from in 2008.

Elaine easily made friends wherever she went and was known for her sweet and caring personality. She was always curious, always learning, and always had a unique bit of news or advice to share. She loved bluegrass music, Missouri wine, and was always ready for a road trip or adventure. Elaine was devoted to her family, especially her grandchildren. They were the light of her life.

She is survived by a son, Brad Brinegar of Pittsburg, KS; a daughter, Debra Radell and her husband Jim of Pittsburg, KS; two sisters, Diane Pieper of Augusta, MO, and Imogene Bozich of Cincinnati, OH; five grandchildren, Taylor Brinegar, Blake Brinegar, Ben Brinegar, Katelyn Radell, and Gabi Radell.
