Elaine Mattivi passed away Wednesday March 8th, 2023 at Brookdale Nursing Facility in Overland Park, KS at the age of 89.
Elaine was born April 28th, 1933 in Arma, KS to Rose Utz-Kermashek and Ralph Kermashek.
She graduated from Arma High School in 1950.
She married Eldon (Bud) Keller in December of 1952. He preceded her in death on January 13, 1961. She married Matt Mattivi on July 1, 1963. He preceded her in death on July 20, 1994.
She had a love for gardening, cooking, walking, watching sports, fishing and hosting family dinners. She was especially fond of maintaining her yard with her John Deere mower well into her 80’s and rewarding herself with a beer afterward. She will be deeply missed.
She is survived by three sons, Doug Keller (Marcia Mellinger) of Frontenac, KS, Chuck (Natalia) Keller of Rogers, AR, and JT (Mona) Keller of Olathe, KS; Six grandchildren, Matt Keller, Kyle (Mona) Keller, Jacob Keller, Jared Keller, Frank (Nancy) Freeman and Christi Freeman (Russ Greer); 12 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, her sister, Rosemary Pichler, step mother, Stella Kermashek, two step sisters, Betty Filosa and Haroldean Bohinc, step brother, Bill Anderson and daughter in law, Paula Keller.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, March 19th at Brenner Mortuary. A private burial will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Wesley House in her honor. These may be left at or mailed to the Brenner Mortuary, 114 E. 4th St., Pittsburg, KS 66762.
