Eva Connolly Obituary
Eva Faye Vanderpool Connolly, 74, of Pittsburg, KS, passed away on March 16, 2024, at Solice House of the Ozarks in Joplin, MO.
Eva was born on March 7, 1950, in Pittsburg, KS to Lee and Ada Faye (Sheets)Vanderpool. She married Ray Connolly on February 14, 1985 and later divorced. She enjoyed taking care of her son, fishing, reading and visiting with her many friends. Eva worked at Wal-Mart in Pittsburg, KS for 42 years.
Eva is survived by her son, Donovan Connolly of Pittsburg, KS; four step children, Tammy Connolly of Humboldt, KS, David Connolly, Mandy Connolly Harbold and Justin Connolly, all of Iola, KS; a brother, George Vanderpool (Paulette) of Pittsburg, KS; three sisters, Charlene Collins of Oswego, KS, Leva Hayden of Pittsburg, KS, and Vicki Grandle of Pittsburg, KS.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Faye Vanderpool, two sisters, Marjorie Vanderpool and Sharon Vanderpool, a brother, Harry Vanderpool, her grandparents, Charles and Edith Sheets, and Aunt Reve Rowe (Carl).
The family would like to thank the Solace House for their excellent care and compassion.
According to Eva's wishes, she has been cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM Saturday, March 30, 2024, at the Homer Cole Center. Burial will be in the Crocker Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to either Solace House of the Ozarks, 2425 Mina Ave, Joplin, MO 64804 or through the Autism Foundation. Arrangements are under the direction of the Brenner Mortuary, 114 E. 4th St., Pittsburg, KS.
