Evelyn Jo McClendon

Evelyn Jo McClendon, 83, of Frontenac, KS, passed away on June 19, 2025, at Medicalodges of Frontenac in Frontenac, Kansas.

Evelyn was born on May 25, 1942 to Roy and Evina (Castellani) Workman in Capaldo, Kansas.  She married Darl Jack McClendon in 1963. He preceded her in death on June 22, 1988.

Evelyn grew up in Capaldo and attended school at South Radley, graduating from the Frontenac High School in Frontenac, Kansas. Evelyn was a homemaker and worked for various restaurants around Pittsburg. She loved reading and crossword puzzles.

She is survived by two daughters, Nicole Berger (Phillip) of Pittsburg, KS, and Jacqueline J. McClendon of Pittsburg, KS. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a brother Donald Roy Workman.

No services are planned at this time. A private family burial will take place at Sheffield Cemetery in Arcadia, KS.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Brenner Mortuary, 114 E. 4th St., Pittsburg, KS.
