Floyld "Pete" Lanning

Floyd "Pete" Lanning, 74, of Pittsburg, KS, passed away on July 11, 2025, at Via Christi Village in Pittsburg, Kansas.

Pete was born on March 21, 1951, to Floyd O. and Janet (Medearis) Lanning in Rockford, Illinois.  He married Sherry Leah Walker on January 28, 2000. She preceded him in death on July 16, 2008. Pete worked as a truck driver for Display Craft and worked in gun sales for K's Merchandise. He was a member of the Marvin A. Armstrong Masonic Lodge #187, the Scottish Rite Consistory and the Pittsburg Mirza Shrine. He is survived by his mother, Janet Lanning of Rockford, IL; a sister, Marie Fertig (Jerry) of Rockford, IL; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father Floyd O Lanning Sr. and a brother Jay Lanning.

No services are planned at this time. Burial will take place at a later date.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Brenner Mortuary, 114 E. 4th St., Pittsburg, KS.
