Frank Schountz, 96, of Pittsburg, KS, passed away on October 16, 2022, at Ascension Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg, Kansas.
Frank was born on October 9, 1926 to Tony and Agnes (Tersina) Schountz in Rural Pittsburg, Kansas. He married Renola A. (Mertz) on September 27, 1958, in Chicopee, Kansas. She preceded him in death on October 6, 2019.
Frank worked as a pipe fitter for Crawford County. Membership was held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
He is survived by one sister, Barbara Schountz of Pittsburg, KS; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother Jack Schountz.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday, October 19th, 2022 at 2:00 PM in the Brenner Mortuary. Burial will follow at the Highland Park Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to the SEK Humane Society. Arrangements are under the direction of the Brenner Mortuary, 114 E. 4th St., Pittsburg, KS
