Gloria (Oberzan) Percy

Gloria Percy, 96, of Tulsa, OK, passed away on December 11, 2025, at Ignite Medical Resort in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Gloria was born on January 31, 1929, to August and Anna (Gerant) Oberzan in Fleming, Kansas. She attended West Mineral Schools and graduated from West Mineral High School. She married Calvin “Pete” Percy in 1951. They later divorced. She was a homemaker and mother, raising her five children. Later in life, she worked at the US Census Bureau and Bill's Coal Company, along with helping at the family restaurant. She enjoyed polka music and dancing, playing bridge at Chicopee and swimming classes at the YMCA. Multiple trips to Europe with her cousins highlighted her ambition to discover her Slavic ancestry.

Gloria is survived by five children, Debra Bauder, Tulsa, OK, Rod (Loretta) Percy, Springfield, MO, Jeanne Parks, Tulsa, OK, Randy (Susan) Percy, Pittsburg, KS, Anita (Craig) Koons, Tulsa, OK; four grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother August "AJ" Oberzan, sister-in-law Dollie Oberzan, an infant sister and granddaughter, Shannon Bauder.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, December 30th, 2025, in the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Father Michael Simone as celebrant. Memorial donations can be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Memorial Fund. These may be left in care of Brenner Mortuary, 114, E. 4th St., Pittsburg, KS  66762.
