John Glenn Darnaby

John Glenn Darnaby, 60, of Liberal, Missouri, formerly of Pittsburg, passed away at 6:23 p.m. Monday, December 26, 2022 at Freeman Health System in Joplin.

He was born April 15, 1962 at Joplin, Missouri, to William Thomas Sr. and Evelyn “Ethel” (Robarts) Darnaby.

At a young age, he joined his father in the roofing business, and was a roofing contractor for Affordable Roofing of SEK.

On September 16, 2017, he was united in marriage to Nancy Thoennes at Arma, Kansas.

Membership was held in the Assembly of God Church.

In addition to his wife, Nancy of the home, he is survived by three sons, Waylon Darnaby, Marcus Eaton, and Miles Eslinger; five daughters, Lauren Ibison, Miranda Darnaby, Rachael Eaton, Autumn Thoennes, and Johanna Darnaby; two brothers, John Robert Bingham and William Thomas “Bill” Darnaby, Jr; 6 sisters, Bonita Lee, Debra Bingham, Sherry Breedlove, Tina Burleson, Rhonda Long-Lewis and Tammy Pickett; seven grandchildren, Devon Darnaby, Hayden Ibison, Connor Rogers, Abigail Eaton, Roman Ibison, and Winter VanKirk.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Shane Darnaby, a sister, Connie Spurling and a granddaughter, Eden Ibison.

A Private Family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  Please consider making a donation to raise funds to cover the funeral expenses.
