John E. Hathaway

John E. Hathaway, age 60, of Pittsburg, Kansas passed away unexpectedly on July 10, 2025 at his
home.

He was born on July 11, 1964 in Lebanon, Missouri, to James and Mary Frances (Molka)
Hathaway. He attended grade school in McCune, Kansas and later moved to Parsons, Kansas
where he attended middle school. As a young man, he was active in 4-H, FFA, band, and was an
avid rock collector. He moved to Wichita, Kansas and attended high school. John was married
to Karen Tucker on November 27, 1984; they later divorced.

John is survived by a son, Brandon Hathaway of Wichita, Kansas, a daughter, Charla Hathaway of
Wichita, Kansas, and his parents, James Hathaway (Jannice) and Mary Frances Hathaway (James
Phillips).

No services are planned at this time. A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
Services are under the direction of Brenner Mortuary, 114 E. Fourth St. Pittsburg, Ks.
