José Alfredo Samayoa-Merida

José Alfredo Samayoa-Merida, 47, of Pittsburg, KS, passed away on December 11, 2020, at Ascension Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg, Kansas.

José was born on November 22, 1973 to Natividad and Maria Antonia Merida in Caserio Villa Flores, Coatepeque, Guatemala. He married Marilu Gomez in Miami, Oklahoma. José was a wonderful and loving person who was admired and respected by all who crossed his path.

He is survived by his wife, Marilu of Pittsburg, Kansas; four daughters, Geidy Samayoa-Cortez of Guatemala, Daphine Samayoa-Gomez of Pittsburg, Kansas, Darlin Samayoa-Gomez of Pittsburg, Kansas, Lenzi Samayoa-Gomez of Pittsburg, Kansas, two sons, Alfredo Samayoa-Gomez of Pittsburg, Kansas, and Jacob Samayoa-Gomez of Pittsburg, Kansas.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, December 19th, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Jerome Spexarth as celebrant. Burial will follow in the Frontenac City Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 17th, 2020 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Brenner Mortuary in Pittsburg, KS. The service will be live streamed on our website (brennermortuary.com) through Jose's obituary page. Arrangements are under the direction of the Brenner Mortuary, 114 E. 4th St., Pittsburg, KS.
