Kathryn Elizabeth (Buck) Holley

Kathryn Elizabeth Holley, 99, of Pittsburg, KS and Holiday Island, AR, passed away on Friday evening, March 28, 2025.

Kate was born April 11, 1925, in Pittsburg, the daughter of Walter J. and Dora Wehmeyer Buck.

She married Edwin Beverly “Bev” Holley June 23, 1941 and made their home for many years on Langdon Lane where they raised a son Rev. Don Holley, her longtime caregiver, of Holiday Island, AR and daughter Mrs. Judith Rhodes of Branson, MO.

Kathryn was preceded in death by her beloved husband Bev, parents, brothers Morris Buck and Louis Buck, grandchildren Todd and Christy Holley, and son-in-law Dr. Jim Rhodes.

She is survived by her sister Janetta Hildebrandt, of Pittsburg, children Don and Judy, six grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, five nephews, and two nieces.

Graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 4, 2025, at Zion Lutheran Cemetery with Rev Don Holley officiating. Burial will follow the services. Friends are requested to meet at the cemetery. The family requests in lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Faith Lutheran Church.
