Kathy Denise (Franks) Brooks

Kathy Denise Brooks, 62, of Asbury, MO, passed away on May 23, 2024, at Barnes Jewish Hospital Plaza in St. Louis, Missouri.

Kathy was born on May 7, 1962 to Donald and Mary (Rigensberg) Franks.  She graduated from Pittsburg High School.

She married Jeffrey Alan Brooks on September 1, 1984 in Liberal, MO. He preceded her in death on August 30, 2023.Kathy worked for Walmart for over 30 years. She was a caring mother and grandmother and she enjoyed being around her family. She loved to travel and try new cuisines.

Survivors include his daughter, Emily Brooks-Davis and husband Trenton of Pittsburg, KS; a brother, Donald (Georgeanna) Franks of Flippin, AR, 4 sisters; Christina (Randy) Taylor of Oklahoma City, OK, Diana Haynes of Pittsburg, KS, Donna Franks of Nevada, MO; a grandson, Jeffrey Brooks-Davis.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, June 6, 2024, at Brenner Mortuary with Dan Muter officiating. Burial will follow at Shiloh Cemetery in Liberal, MO. Visitation will be held on Wednesday 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Brenner Mortuary. Arrangements are under the direction of the Brenner Mortuary, 114 E. 4th St., Pittsburg, KS.
