Keith Marine Roberds, 64, of rural Pittsburg, passed away at 8:00 p.m. Sunday, February 14, 2021 at his home.
He was born March 22, 1956 at Pittsburg, the son of Dale G. and Lois L. (Black) Roberds. He graduated from Columbus Unified High School and later from NEO A&M in Miami, Oklahoma.
On January 21, 1987, he was united in marriage to Linda McKee at the home of his parents. They later were divorced.
Keith was a farmer, farming for the Roberds Family Farm.
When he wasn’t farming, Keith was an avid hunter and fisherman, spending many days and weekends down by the river. As a child, he developed a love of bird watching which he carried into his adult life. He also loved playing darts.
Keith is survived by a daughter, Rachel Roberds of Thornton, Colorado; his father, Dale Roberds of rural Pittsburg; two sisters, Glenna Jenkins and her husband, Dave of St. Petersburg, Florida and Diana Turnbull and her husband, Dave of rural Pittsburg; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lois and his ex-wife, Linda.
A visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday (Feb. 21) at the Brenner Mortuary. In respect for the family, we are asking everyone to wear face coverings and practice social distancing. According to his wishes, Mr. Roberds has been cremated. A Private family graveside will take place at a later date in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Kansas Wildlife Federation.
