Obituary

Larry Dean Beesley passed away on July 13, 2023 in Parsons, KS. 

Larry was born in Hays, KS on August 26, 1941 to Fred and Louise (Horner) Beesley. Larry was a graduate of Oakley (KS) High School. He married Ann Colglazier on October 28, 1961 in Oakley, KS

Larry owned and operated Superior Construction Company before beginning work at Mt. Carmel Medical Center in Pittsburg, KS in 1987, retiring in 2013. In his spare time he loved coaching his daughters in fast pitch softball, hunting, woodworking, camping and riding & caring for their horses. He was also a longtime member of the McCune Lions Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Kenneth Beesley, and his sister Pauline Dreiling. 

Survivors include his wife Ann Beesley of Parsons, KS and his seven children and their families; Theresa Franklin (John) of Hepler, KS; Mary Long (Scot) of Joplin, MO; Karla King (John) of McCune, KS; Patricia Taylor (Fred) of Sherwood, AR; Tina Witten (Russell) of Miami, OK; Michelle Ponce (Ben) of Winfield, KS; and Gregory Beesley (Danielle) of Chino Valley, AZ and 17 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at the McCune Community Center on Sunday, July 23, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to Parsons Human Society or PALS. These may be left at or mailed to the Brenner Mortuary, 114 E. 4th St., Pittsburg, KS  66762. Friends may leave condolences online at www.brennermortuary.com.
