Linda Kay Geren, 77, of Pittsburg, passed away at 2:16 a.m. Friday, June 30, 2023 at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Missouri.
She was born October 7, 1945 in Pittsburg, the daughter of James Sr. and Florence (West) Sharp. She attended Pittsburg schools.
On March 30, 1978, she was united in marriage to Kevin Geren at Miami, Oklahoma.
Mrs. Geren worked at Otto’s Café for 30 years and later as a Caretaker.
She attended Bible Believer’s Church and the Light House Tabernacle.
Survivors include her husband, Kevin Geren of Pittsburg, KS; five children, Tammy Newport (Jim), Kenny Beckley, Terri Perez, Melissa Baert (Chris) and Lindsay Martin; a brother, Ronald D. Sharp (Clara); a sister, Joan McCabe; sixteen grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, James Sharp, Jr.; and a son, Daren Beckley.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 6, at the Brenner Mortuary with Rev. Rod Perez officiating. Burial will follow in the Hosey Hill Cemetery, west of Weir, Kansas.
