Lisa Diann McKendry

Lisa Diann McKendry of Pittsburg, KS, died December 7, 2024, at Mercy Hospital of Pittsburg.

Lisa was born September 11, 1961, in Tulsa, OK, to Wilbert (Bud) and Loretta Parkison. She graduated from Many High School in Many, LA. Before moving to Pittsburg, Lisa lived in Montana, Texas, Florida, New York, and Oklahoma. Lisa was an avid reader who traveled whenever and wherever possible.

Lisa is survived by her mother, Loretta (Fox) Parkison of Frontenac, KS; two sons, Mark and Herb of Griffin, GA; two granddaughters, Regan and Riley of Griffin, GA; a brother, Mark (Jennifer) of Azile TX. Her three nieces and nephew had a special affection for their Aunt Lisa. Other survivors include aunts, uncles, and cousins, including Danna Vitt, who was especially close to Lisa.

A celebration of life will be held at a future date. Memorials may be made to the Larry and Juanita Fox Scholarship at Pittsburg State University. Arrangements are under the direction of the Brenner Mortuary, 114 E. 4th St., Pittsburg, KS.
