Lloyd J. Carter, 76, of Pittsburg, KS passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at the Pittsburg Care and Rehabilitation Center.
Lloyd was born April 18, 1949 to Ruth Waneta Griffitt and George W. Carter Jr.
Lloyd attended Turner High School in Kansas City, KS. After school, he joined the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged on April 1, 1975 with the rank of SP4. More recently, he was a security guard at the Metcalf South Mall.
Lloyd is survived by two sons; Dusty Brewer and Lloyd Dale Carter (wife Robyn), a step-son; Jeremiah Patrick Sams, a daughter; Sunshine Carter, a brother; Dale Carter (wife Kathy), a sister; Carolyn Allen (husband Randy), one nephew, three nieces, eight grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Cremation has taken place. No services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society, American Diabetes Foundation, or the Parkinsons Foundation.
