Lorraine (Saccanne) Hobson, 89, of Pittsburg, went to meet her Lord at 9:25 a.m. Tuesday, November 5, 2024.
She was born December 14, 1934 in Newark, New Jersey, the daughter of Walter and Felicia Vollmar.
Lorraine married Charles Saccanne. They had two children, Kimberly Ann Saccanne and Walter Saccanne. They later divorced. She then married David Hobson. They divorced.
Lorraine was a homemaker and worked for many years as a waitress at the Landmark café, Otto’s café, and Arby’s.
She was a committed Christian and enjoyed church and worshipping the Lord. She regularly attended two churches, Life Changers for the morning service and Open Door Fellowship Center for the evening services. She shared that she enjoyed them both. Lorraine was an active member of the Aglow Lighthouse groups in Pittsburg. She served as a greeter and made many conferences around Kansas and out of state with Aglow groups.
She was a supporter of the Morris Cerullo World Evangelism Organization for many years, often traveling to other states and countries to volunteer as an usher at their conferences.
She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Ann Saccanne; close friend whom she loved like a daughter, Kim Adcock, and caregiver, Susan Adams.
She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Walter Saccanne.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday (Nov. 21) in the Garden of Memories Cemetery, Pittsburg. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday (Nov. 23) at Open Door Fellowship Center, 918 W. 20th St., Pittsburg, with Pastor Don Talent.
