Lucy (Bertalotto) Hunt, 100, of Pittsburg, passed away at 4:45 p.m., Sunday, May 8, 2022 at Medicalodge South of Pittsburg.
She was born August 8, 1921 at Nelson, Kansas, the daughter of Genesio and Metilde (Barale) Bertalotto.
On September 30, 1944, she was united in marriage to Woodrow C. Hunt at Girard, Kansas. He preceded her in death on February 19, 1993.
Mrs. Hunt worked at S.H. Kress Store, Hull-Dillion Packaging Company, Kansas Army Ammunition Plant and at the Dollar General Store as a clerk.
Membership was held in Countryside Christian Church. She loved gardening, her arts and crafts, but mostly loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include two sons, Gary Hunt and his wife, Peggy of Franklin, Kansas and Rick Hunt and his wife, Cindi of Pittsburg; a daughter, Janice Jewett and her husband, Russ of Pittsburg; eight grandchildren, Kevin (Jodi) Hunt, Kenny (Deonna) Hunt, Kyle Hunt, Jennifer (Nick) Hansen, Brian Hunt, Kelci (Zac) Palumbo, Sarah (Zac) Romines, and Will Jewett; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; three nieces and 3 nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Sharon Hurd, and a sister, Mary Zagar, and two brothers, Louis Bertalotto and Joseph Bertalotto and an infant twin brother and sister, Steve and Teresa Bertalotto.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday (May 12) at the Brenner Mortuary with Dan Muter, minister, officiating. The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Brenner Mortuary, where friends may call after 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The family suggests memorials to Countryside Christian Church. These may be left at or mailed to the Brenner Mortuary, 114 E. 4th St., Pittsburg, KS 66762.
