Marcella Buffington, 73, of Overland Park, KS, passed away on July 12, 2022, at her home in Overland Park, Kansas.
Marcella was born on July 27, 1948, to Marshall and Mary Etta (Horton) Bass in Pittsburg, KS. On August 7, 1978, she was united in marriage to Walter Thomas Buffington. He preceded her in death on January 10, 2005.
Marcella worked as a supervisor for Windsor Home Health.
She is survived by four children, Don Hardin of Elgin, IL, Bryan Blasor of Overland Park, KS, Jason Buffington of Fort Scott, KS, and Kimberly Danko of Olathe, KS, brothers, Tommy West of Pittsburg, KS, and Marty Bass of Frontenac, KS, a sister, Leona Hardin of Belzoni, MS, and three grandchildren, Max Blassor, Kya Danko, and Carter Danko. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Bobby West, and a sister, Jackie Campbell.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, July 16th, 2022, at 10:30 AM in the Brenner Mortuary with Pastor Dan Moss officiating. Burial will follow at the Mt. Olive Cemetery . Memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Arrangements are under the direction of the Brenner Mortuary, 114 E. 4th St., Pittsburg, KS.
