Margaret Betty (Neputi) Wood

Margaret Betty Wood, 98, of Pittsburg, KS, passed away on September 27, 2023, at Via Christi Village in Pittsburg, Kansas.

Margaret was born on March 7, 1925 to John  and Agnes (Neputi) Mingori   in Weir, KS.  On June 7, 1946 she was united in marriage to Harold Eugene Wood at Columbus, Kansas.

Margaret was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, canning, sewing, reading, painting and most of all being with her family and visiting her friends.

She is survived by a daughter, Diana K. Wood of Pittsburg, KS; a son, Dennis Wood and his wife Futaba of Vacaville, CA; a granddaughter, Hanako Dale Wood and her husband, Cooper Scollan and a great grandson, Raylan Eugene Scollan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a brother, John Dale Neputi.

A Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Thursday, October 5, at the Brenner Mortuary. Burial will be in the Mt. Olive Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Angels Among Us. These may be left at or mailed to the Brenner Mortuary, 114 E. 4th St., Pittsburg, KS  66762. Arrangements are under the direction of the Brenner Mortuary, Pittsburg, KS.
