Mary Margaret Munger, 72, of Frontenac, KS, passed away on August 31, 2023, at her home in Frontenac, Kansas.
Mary was born on October 15, 1950, to Carl O. and Vita J. (DeStafano) Fanska in Pittsburg, KS. She attended Pittsburg Schools and graduated from Pittsburg High School in 1968. She married Johnny Munger on October 18, 1968, at Zion Lutheran Church. He survives of the home. Mary was a homemaker for most of her life but she also worked at Pitt Plastics. Membership was held at St. John Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her husband, Johnny Munger of Frontenac, KS and one daughter, Jennie Munger Harrison of Long Island, NY.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Joseph Lee Fanska.
A funeral will be held on Wednesday, September 6th, 2023, at 10:30 AM at the St. John Lutheran with Pastor Tom Wehrman officiating. Burial will follow at Crocker Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 5th, 2023 from 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Memorial donations can be made to St. John Lutheran Church. Arrangements are under the direction of the Brenner Mortuary, 114 E. 4th St., Pittsburg, KS.
