Mathew Jay Pence

Mathew Jay Pence, 20, of Pittsburg, passed away at 4:37 p.m. Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at his home.

He was born January 3, 2004 in Kansas City, Missouri.

Mathew loved going to school, listening to music and horseback riding.

Survivors include his parents, grandparents, and siblings.

A funeral service for Mathew will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 1, 2024 at Brenner Mortuary with Pastor Jim Sukraw officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at Brenner Mortuary. A private family burial will be held in the Mt. Olive Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for memorial to be given to Horses of Hope. These may be left at or mailed to the Brenner Mortuary, 114 E. 4th St., Pittsburg, KS 66762. Arrangements are under the direction of Brenner Mortuary.
