Michael Gebhardt Obituary
Michael W. Gebhardt, 69, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2022, at Ascension Via Christi in Pittsburg, KS after a long-fought battle of cancer. He was born June 8, 1952, in Kansas City, KS to Ralph W. and Elizabeth Hamilton Gebhardt.
Mike grew up in Merriam, KS. He attended Shawnee Mission North High School in Overland Park, KS. After high school he attended vocational school. He was the first certified Subaru mechanic in KC. He worked in the Sheet Metal Union as a sign hanger for most of his career He enjoyed fishing, working on any and everything you can imagine and having a good time.
Mike married Teresa Elliott in 1972. They later divorced.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his daughter Heather (Dean) Bray of Tonganoxie, KS, his son Michael (Kay) Gebhardt II of Kansas City, KS, his sisters: Nancy (Kenny) Harris of Frontenac, KS, Barbara (Mike) McLeod of Girard, KS, his grandsons Austin Gebhardt, Colton Bray, Dalton Bray and Tanu Gebhardt, significant other Rosemary Mahoney and nieces and nephews and other relatives.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Brenner Mortuary, Pittsburg, KS.
