Michael John Markham, 64, of Pittsburg, KS, passed away on April 15, 2022, at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, KS, with his loving wife by his side and due to complications from heart failure.
Mike was born on January 4, 1958 to William and Jane (Arey) Markham in Bethesda, Maryland. He married Rosa Cardozo on October 14, 1995 in Montgomery County, MD. She survives of the home.
Mike worked for Jaguar Travel Agency in Washington, DC. He moved to Pittsburg, KS, in 2007 and opened Markham Travel Agency.
Mike enjoyed traveling and going hunting and fishing.
In addition to his wife Rosa, he is survived two sisters, Barbara Moon (Tim) of Pittsburg, KS, and Leslie Cravey of Pittsburg, KS; two nephews, Stephen Moon and Eric Cravey; and two nieces, Kristin Smerdon and Jen Cravey.
Memorial Mass and Christian Burial will be at 10:30 on Thursday, April 28th at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Pittsburg, KS, with Fr. Jerome Spexarth as Celebrant. A parish rosary will be prayed at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church before the service at 10:00 AM on Thursday. Arrangements are under the direction of the Brenner Mortuary, 114 E 4th St., Pittsburg KS, 66762.
