Raymond Hamblin Obituary

Raymond Lee Hamblin, 81, of Franklin, KS, passed away on June 08, 2025, at his home in Franklin, Kansas.

Raymond was born on September 13, 1943, to Leslie LeRoy and Raydell Ellen (DeWitt) Hamblin in Columbus, Kansas. He graduated from Weir High School in 1961. On Sept. 1st 1962 he was united in marriage to Sandra Jo "Sandy" Badart. She preceded him in death on November 24, 2009. He married Lois P. Riley Dec 2011 in Pittsburg KS. She survives at their home.

Raymond , a retired Teamster, worked as at truck driver for Manley Trucking and Yellow Freight Trucking. He was of Christian faith and attended Lighthouse Tabernacle Church.

He is survived by his wife Lois P. Hamblin of Franklin, KS; three children, Michael Ray Hamblin (Kristy) of Franklin, KS, Jason Lee Hamblin of Seattle, WA, and Laurie Jean Hamblin Corn of Franklin, KS; a brother, Robert Eugene "Bob" Hamblin and wife Sonya of Gallatin TN. Ray was survived by his grandchildren, Joseph Corn and wife Tomoko and their daughters Ellie and Julie. Patrick Corn and his wife Veronica (Ronnie) and their son Jensen Ray, and baby daughter to arrive in July, also Joseph and Patrick's half-sister Jennifer Clark and husband Jim. Rylee Ehinger and husband Bryan, Kross Hamblin and wife Alexa. He is also survived by many brother and sister -in-laws, nieces and nephews. He is also survived by stepdaughters Janell Allred, Janene and husband Leo Hudiburg and family, Ed Riley and wife Piney and family. A step-son-in-law Don Wade and family.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Sandra Jo "Sandy" Hamblin, his parents, two sisters, Mary Mangan, Wanda Rice and a brother, Walter Dean "Deanie" Hamblin.

On his birthday Sept. 13, 2025 a ceremony for placement of ashes will be held at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Pittsburg KS, and the same day a celebration of life held at Catalpa Tree Park in Franklin KS. Memorial donations can be made to the Franklin Community Park. Arrangements are under the direction of the Brenner Mortuary, 114 E. 4th St., Pittsburg, KS.
