Ricky Ray Stevens

Ricky Ray Stevens, 64, of Pittsburg, made his final journey to peace surrounded by loved ones on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at his home.

He was born on Aug. 10, 1960, in Pittsburg, to Claude and Opal (Karnes) Stevens. Mr. Stevens married Kimberly Kay Reetz on Dec. 5, 2005, in Las Vegas, Nevada. She preceded him in death on December 12th, 2013.

He was a lifelong resident of Pittsburg and worked for Yost Properties as a maintenance supervisor for 30 years. He enjoyed the company of his dogs Rocky and Sparkie. He took great pleasure in camping with family. He was an accomplished electrician and carpenter. A friend to many.

Survivors include four children, Gage Stevens (Madison), Tabitha Stevens, Jennifer Baker, and Crystal Ray Stevens; one sister, Shirley Gideon and a half sister, Sue Orender; and a brother, Junior Oehme.

In addition to his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by one sister, Marilyn Stevens, brother in-law, Robert Gideon, and Best Buddy, Roy Jones.

In honor of his life, Rick will be laid to rest at Mt. Olive Cemetery for a graveside service with close family and friends. Friends may leave condolences online at www.brennermortuary.com. Arrangements are under the direction of the Brenner Mortuary, Pittsburg, KS.
