Robert J. (Bob) Munden, 85, of Pittsburg, KS, passed away on September 25, 2025, at Via Christi Village in Pittsburg, Kansas, he had battled cancer the last two years.
Robert was born to Clarence and Doris (Parker) Munden on March 24, 1940 in Kingman, Kansas. He was educated in Wichita, Kansas schools, graduating from Kapaun High School in 1958. He worked for KG&E/Westar Energy for 42 years, retiring in 2002.
He and MaryLynn Cartwright were married in 1960 and later divorced. He married Donna Ramey in 1989 and she survives of the home. He has four daughters, Vicki Roe, Wichita, Jeanette (Warren) Dalrymple, Wichita, Cathy (Paul) Huffman, Wichita, Kristy (Brian) Lowry, Ft. Scott, with ten grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. He has seven siblings, Peggy, John, Janet, Agnes, David, Dianne and Mary. Also surviving are Donna's daughters Kristi (Bill) Dobrauc, Frontenac and Kathi (Jim) Cooper, Overland Park along with their children and families. He was a charismatic, Bible believing Christian. His favorite scriptures were Micah 6:8 and John 5:15.
There will not be a formal visitation, but feel free to come by Brenner Mortuary, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., on Friday, October 3 to sign the register book and view a video. A graveside memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 4, at Girard Cemetery, 807 S. Carbon Street, Girard, KS 66743. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wesley House in Pittsburg, Kansas or Open-Door Fellowship, Pittsburg, Kansas.
