Sandra Kaye Hendricks

Sandra Kaye Hendricks, 66, of Frontenac, passed away peacefully at 8:10 a.m. Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Missouri.

She was born September 30, 1955 at Pittsburg, the daughter of Jack D. and Delores Dean (McMurry) Hendricks. She attended local schools and graduated from Pittsburg High School.

Sandra worked for Southwestern Bell/AT&T as an operator for 35 plus years.

Her family was very important to her, especially her nephews, Justin and Jake.

She had a special love for her dogs and all animals. Loved her music, QVC and thank goodness for online shopping.

Survivors include a sister, Debbie Knapp (Johnny); nephews, Justin Smith (Kylie) and Jacob Smith (Brandie); great nephews and nieces, Knox, Bryar, Harper, Ella and Callie. She is also survived by step-nieces, Stacy Jameson (Wes) and Devin Prettyman; step-great nephews and nieces, Colton (Danaya), Jonathan, Rachael and Ethan; and one great-great niece, Ellie.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Dee and a brother, Steven Dale Hendricks.

Private family services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family invites memorial contributions to SEK Humane Society. These may be left at or mailed to the Brenner Mortuary, 114 E. 4th St., Pittsburg, KS  66762. Friends may also leave condolences online at www.brennermortuary.com.
