Sheila Stebbins Obituary

Sheila Lee Stebbins, 75, of Pittsburg, KS, passed away after a long battle with breast cancer on April 07, 2022, at her home in Pittsburg, Kansas, surrounded by family and friends. 

Sheila was born on November 2, 1946 to Loring "Bud" and Dorothy L. (Klaustermyer) Limpus in Jackson County, Missouri.  She married Frederick "Rick" Stebbins on July 31, 1964, in Independence Kansas.  While they subsequently divorced, they remained lifelong friends and continued support for each other.

Sheila worked as a Registered Nurse for over 40 years and retired from Olathe Medical Center where she worked in critical care and recovery.

She is survived by a son, Dr. Timothy Stebbins (Chandra) of Pittsburg, KS; a daughter, Kimberlee Towner of Olathe, KS and one brother, Gary L. Limpus of Lake Of The Ozarks, MO; her grandchildren, Beatrice Roseland, Sarah Stebbins, Ayden Stebbins, Tory Towner, Chance Towner, Tristan Towner, Madison Towner; a step-grandchild, Jason Reed; and a great granddaughter, Haylee Towner.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

A Memorial services will be on Saturday, April 16th, 2022, at 10:30 AM in the Countryside Christian Church with Pastor Jim Frech officiating. Memorial donations can be made to Countryside Christian Church of Pittsburg and/or the First Christian Church of Olathe. The service will be live streamed on our website (brennermortuary.com) through Sheila's obituary page. Arrangements are under the direction of the Brenner Mortuary, 114 E. 4th St., Pittsburg, KS.
