Terry Lee Harper, 74, passed away April 1st from a car crash on Hwy 7.
He was born January 15, 1950 at the old Mt. Carmel Hospital in Pittsburg to Joe and Eva (Willet) Harper. He was a lifetime resident of Pittsburg and attended area schools. He received his GED in 1970.
He was quite the jokester. He enjoyed karate, hunting, fishing, and you could usually find him working on a vehicle quite often. If you needed welding done, he was very talented and worked at several local companies to name a few, Tri-State, Dungan Construction, Superior, Atkinson Armature and Hix Corporation.
Terry is survived by two daughters, Terri Hawthorne of Claremore, OK and Dana Benthin of Frontenac, KS; two granddaughters, Taeler (Purdon) Holbrook of Oklahoma City, OK and Kelse (Purdon) Blackwell of Inola, OK; one grandson, Brody Benthin of Pittsburg, KS and one great-grandson, Gordyn Blackwell of Inola, OK; one brother, Jerry Harper of Texas, and one sister, Evajean Burns, several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded is death by his parents, and one brother, William Sony Harper.
