Wanda K Perkins

Wanda Katheryn Perkins, 83, of Pittsburg, KS, passed away on April 07, 2025, at Mercy Hospital - Pittsburg in Pittsburg, Kansas.

Wanda was born on July 7, 1941, to Roy "Bud" and Juanita (Lakey) Prettyman in Mulberry, KS. On June 18, 1976, she was united in marriage to Donald Perkins in Pittsburg, KS. He preceded her in death on July 30, 2018.

Wanda was a homemaker and loved when her family would have get-togethers. She also loved all animals, especially her three cats.

She is survived by three daughters, Juanita Hodgson of Columbus, KS, Rebecca Streeter (Jim) of Garner, KS, and Roanda Smith (Ron) of Osawatomie, KS; one brother, Jerry Prettyman (Shelia) of Sellersburg, IN; 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two brothers, Arthur Prettyman and Clem Prettyman, and a son-in-law, Tim Hodgson.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 11th at Brenner Mortuary with Pastor Jim Sukraw officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 10th at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given to Pawprints on the Heartland, and left in care of the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of the Brenner Mortuary, Pittsburg, KS.
