Wanda Jean Whitter, 77, of Pittsburg, passed away at 8:30 a.m. Monday, June 15, 2020 at Via Christi Hospital.
She was born December 19, 1942 at Fort Scott, Kansas, the daughter of Tom Lee and Alean E (Benskin) Bolan.
She married Jack Berl “Little Red” Whitter. He preceded her in death on June 10, 1982.
Mrs. Whitter worked for area nursing homes.
Survivors include two sons, Thomas Whitter of Pittsburg and Jack Whitter of Pittsburg; a brother, Tom Bolan of Pittsburg; nine grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Tom Bolan, her mother, Alean Krimminger; a brother, George Redfern; and two sisters, Ella May Saker and Mary Hall.
No services are planned at this time. Private family burial will take place at a later date in the Mt. Olive Cemetery, Pittsburg. Friends may leave condolences online at www.brennermortuary.com. Arrangements are under the direction of the Brenner Mortuary.
